Ultra-rare 510 hp V8 minivan just hanging out street parked on the Upper West Side of Manhattan a few blocks from the natural history museum. Produced for just one model year and best I can tell only 108 were made for the US with an handful more being exported to other markets.

Someone has been making good use of those gi gantic front brakes in NYC traffic.

I’ve seen two as well - same color https://oppositelock.kinja.com/my-head-just-exploded-a-little-bit-1818524471 I guess a lot of super rare cars that aren’t exactly exotics get driven and people see them pretty regularly  but just don’t think twice about it because they aren’t unicorn nerds like us here at Oppo.

As far as AMGs go they aren’t all that different from the lower trims so they aren’t that easy to spot. There aren’t any crazy gills or excess vents like the C63 or E63 of the era. The front bumper is a hint but it is the same as the AMG Sport package that was available on the R350 and R500. The only real differences are the wheels/brakes (huge but still not as flashy as some other AMGs of the era), quad exhaust tips and “6.3 AMG” badges on the front fenders. They are almost all some shade of black, white, or silver. There are a few dark red and dark blue ones out there. One single person actually bought a beige R63. Just one.
